Activities to Stay Busy During Corona Virus

COVID-19

As many of you know, we’re amidst a global pandemic that has now left many of us quarantined in the safety of our homes. For those of us who aren’t used to being at home 24/7, this can be quite the struggle and lead many to feel bored, anxious, or alone in their thoughts.

However, there is a silver lining here despite the reality of the situation. This extra free-time - whether we wanted it or not - is giving busy individuals the time to slow down and get caught up on that long list they’ve probably had for years.

If you’re struggling to find ways to make use of your time while complying with your city’s rules, here are a few activities to try to stay busy!

Start Walking or Running

If your city allows you to be outside as long as you aren’t gathering in groups and staying 6 feet away from others, now is the perfect time to get outside! For many of us busy individuals we have all wanted to go for a walk or jog but never seemed to find the time. There’s no better time like the present!

If you’re new to running, you might want to do some research on the types of running shoes to be wearing. If you’ve read our blog before you’re probably aware of the many different arch types and how it can affect your posture and stride. You’ll also want to make sure you’re warming up before exercising, as this prevents injuries!

Learn a New Skill

Have you ever wanted to master the art of baking or start playing the guitar? There’s probably a laundry list full of hobbies and skills you’ve probably wanted to pick up but found yourself tied up doing other tasks. Well, now is your chance! The internet is full of great resources from books and videos to courses and programs!

Watch a New Movie or Show

Let’s be honest with ourselves for a minute and admit how much we love a good lazy day where we can just chill out and binge a good television show or movie. Given that we can’t spend our days at the beach or at a restaurant, I think it’s safe to say there’s nothing wrong with a movie day!

Crack open the popcorn and movie snacks, make that pillow fort, and have a chance to relax and forget about the craziness in the world.

Focus on Your Health

As adults, there are many reasons to put others in front of yourself. Whether it’s kids, family, work, pets, hobbies, or anything else, it’s easy to forget about self-care. One great thing about this extra downtime is you have the perfect opportunity to invest in your health.

Many doctors are now offering telemedicine and making it easier than ever for working adults like yourself to prioritize your health. At Total Foot Care, we are now offering telemedicine appointments so we can still take care of you.

A quick Google search or phone call can help you find doctors who are doing the same thing and can help assess any health concerns you may have.
