What is a Wound?
A wound is an open lesion or ulceration. Wounds can develop from trauma, burns, complications from diabetes, or infections.

A proper history and physical exam is performed by one of our experienced foot doctors. The wounds will be medically managed and cleansed. Stitches may be necessary depending on the type of wound. Appropriate prescribed ointments, antibiotics, wound healing modalities, vascular studies, etc will be ordered in order to expedite the wound healing process and prevent infection.
