Ms. Mindy Cannon is a Certified Nurse Practitioner. She provides Total Foot Care services to people in their homes. She visits those living in their own homes as well as those residing in assisted living facilities.

 

Ms. Cannon began her training as a nurse at Florida State College in Jacksonville. There she received her Associate of Applied Sciences degree. After practicing as a registered nurse for many years, she headed north to Spring Arbor University in Michigan. There she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 2019.

 

In 2021 she received her Master’s Degree in Nursing to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. Starting her career as a registered nurse on a busy medical-surgical floor, Ms. Cannon acquired a broad base of knowledge. She became adept at both rapid care and critical response nursing during her time on the unit.  She moved on to a pain management center, where she also served as the surgical coordinator.

 

Following this experience, Ms. Cannon spent 10 years at the Shands Starke Regional Medical Center in Starke, Florida. She spent her first years there as a full-time staffing charge nurse on a medical-surgical unit.  During this time she became a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse. She brought her talents to surgical services at Shands Starke. There she worked with doctors and surgeons on a variety of surgical procedures. She practiced as a charge nurse and department lead.

In 2016 Ms. Cannon transferred to Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville. She worked on the busy surgical unit specializing in orthopedic care.

 

Ms. Cannon is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has years of clinical nursing experience. She is passionate about improving the lives of her patients and is an outstanding part of the Total Foot Care team.
