Dr. Alexandra McCloud, DPM
Dr. Alexandra McCloud is a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami. After a few detours, she’s back in the Sunshine State and ready to greet you with a smile at Total Foot Care.
She began her podiatry journey at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in 2009. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med and Biology in 2012 and headed to the U.S. Army. Army ROTC commissioned Dr. McCloud as an Army Logistics Officer stationed in
Hawaii. Her active duty tour lasted from 2012 until 2016 at which time she returned to mainland sunshine and Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami.
In 2020, after four years of study, Dr. McCloud entered the podiatric residency program at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. In her third year, she served as Chief Resident of the program. 2023 was a big year for her. She finished her residency and got married!
Dr. McCloud brings the most up-to-date training and real-world experience to her podiatric practice. Her areas of concentration include wound care, diabetic foot care and limb salvage, forefoot and rearfoot surgery, and lower extremity trauma.
Dr. McCloud’s years of military training gave her a firm foundation of leadership, management, and planning skills. She makes use of those skills every day and is an efficient, organized, and professional practitioner.
During her time at Palmetto General Hospital, Dr. McCloud honed both her podiatric and patient-care skills. She is a caring, compassionate provider who works with every patient to achieve the best outcome possible.
When Dr. McCloud is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog Prince. Travel, learning about new cultures, and spending time with her family top the list of her favorite pastimes. Dr. McCloud looks forward to the next step in her podiatry career as a member of the Total Foot Care team.
